so Big..

She got in the chair all by herself, and then looked at her Dad and I like....

Hello! Did you see that?

Did I mention for the last few weeks she goes up the stairs all by herself too? She doesn't know how to go back down yet so its kind of scary. She's giving me LOTS of heart attacks.

17 Post down, 14 still to go..... this is getting hard.

and this is a conversation my son had with my Mom last night that made me laugh.
(I'm super excited I can take pics of my screen now!)

I wonder what a chumwawa looks like?
I'm betting it's cute.

About This Blog-

This blog is mostly about Leighton, and how she has changed our family. We were blessed with our little Leighton in 2011. We didn't know she had a little something extra before her birth. She was born with an extra 21st chromosome. We didn't know it at the time, but she was going to change our lives as most babies do, for the better. This is just a day to day of what life is like having a daughter, or sibling with Down syndrome. It's truthfully in essence the same, if not better as our life before we had her. We do the same things, but some how she makes us better, and happier people. She has become the center of our family. We heard about a boy in college who also had Trisomy 21 wearing a shirt that said High on Chromosomes, and I decided that's what I want Leighton to feel. So I named her blog after that shirt. I want her to feel an extra chromosome is nothing to be ashamed of (it's something she can't change, and you may not believe it, but I wouldn't want that anyway). It's always going to be a part of her. I want her to be proud of it.
