Can't Hardly Wait!

Some exciting news popped in my E-mail today. The purpose of the trip I'm not supposed to post about, but you wont be in suspense for long (just a week). Leighty, Hubby, and I will be going to San Deigo next week for a few days. This little trip is super good news, because now I will have something fun to write about for the end of 31 for 21. We'll hopefully get to take lots of pictures of our trip. Me and the Spouse feel super irresponsible, and a little bit crazy. We're usually not this spontaneous, but I'm forcing him to take a few days off work, and join me on this little adventure. We take off Tuesday, and I have lots of schedules to juggle (as the other two children are staying with family). Hopefully this turns out to be a great time.

Oh! the suspense really is killing me! Can't wait to hear about all the excitement and what takes you to San Diego! fun.

About This Blog-

This blog is mostly about Leighton, and how she has changed our family. We were blessed with our little Leighton in 2011. We didn't know she had a little something extra before her birth. She was born with an extra 21st chromosome. We didn't know it at the time, but she was going to change our lives as most babies do, for the better. This is just a day to day of what life is like having a daughter, or sibling with Down syndrome. It's truthfully in essence the same, if not better as our life before we had her. We do the same things, but some how she makes us better, and happier people. She has become the center of our family. We heard about a boy in college who also had Trisomy 21 wearing a shirt that said High on Chromosomes, and I decided that's what I want Leighton to feel. So I named her blog after that shirt. I want her to feel an extra chromosome is nothing to be ashamed of (it's something she can't change, and you may not believe it, but I wouldn't want that anyway). It's always going to be a part of her. I want her to be proud of it.
