Are you kidding me!

So today I wake up, and I look at this little face.
Goodness she's perfect!

I noticed she's getting a lot of dark hair (She must have some red highlights cause sometimes in pics it look a little red) and so I have to take some pictures of this little girly with bedhead.
So I'm taking photos, and then I show her what they look like on the screen, and she starts whipping out these!
first one, I was dying! She already has a little sass....

This isn't just snapping the camera quick and getting her expressions.
She posses until the flash goes off!

I can't even express how thankful I am for this little girl.
I pray and express my thankfulness for her all the time.
I prayed before her birth, when I knew her kidneys were dilated she wouldn't have Ds,
but He knew it wouldn't matter. I would be so grateful she does, and I would
love every way that extra chromosome changed her. She's so content that I enjoy every second with her. I don't know if it has to do with the fact I decided the first time I "really" held her that I would give her enough love to make up for all the love she might not receive from others.
She would have her Mamas whole heart, and she does.
Every tiny crevice is filled up with love for this little Leighty.

She is a doll. And I know what you mean, I too am grateful for how my unique baby is made up.

Jess- You do not have to worry about how much love she will get. Our family alone will give her more than she can even handle. Cutest pictures ever!

About This Blog-

This blog is mostly about Leighton, and how she has changed our family. We were blessed with our little Leighton in 2011. We didn't know she had a little something extra before her birth. She was born with an extra 21st chromosome. We didn't know it at the time, but she was going to change our lives as most babies do, for the better. This is just a day to day of what life is like having a daughter, or sibling with Down syndrome. It's truthfully in essence the same, if not better as our life before we had her. We do the same things, but some how she makes us better, and happier people. She has become the center of our family. We heard about a boy in college who also had Trisomy 21 wearing a shirt that said High on Chromosomes, and I decided that's what I want Leighton to feel. So I named her blog after that shirt. I want her to feel an extra chromosome is nothing to be ashamed of (it's something she can't change, and you may not believe it, but I wouldn't want that anyway). It's always going to be a part of her. I want her to be proud of it.
