the main event.

Now Leighton really is a baby super model. At least for the day anyway. They might not choose to use any of her photos for the packaging, but I don't really care. It was just so fun to be involved it something that I believe is important. Oh and meeting the writer/ photographer of my favorite blog I didn't get to talk to her much, but shaking her hand and watching her kiss my little bug was perfect for me.

and I just saw that she is also on Kelle's blog too. So go see my little bug there. She is just so cute.

About This Blog-

This blog is mostly about Leighton, and how she has changed our family. We were blessed with our little Leighton in 2011. We didn't know she had a little something extra before her birth. She was born with an extra 21st chromosome. We didn't know it at the time, but she was going to change our lives as most babies do, for the better. This is just a day to day of what life is like having a daughter, or sibling with Down syndrome. It's truthfully in essence the same, if not better as our life before we had her. We do the same things, but some how she makes us better, and happier people. She has become the center of our family. We heard about a boy in college who also had Trisomy 21 wearing a shirt that said High on Chromosomes, and I decided that's what I want Leighton to feel. So I named her blog after that shirt. I want her to feel an extra chromosome is nothing to be ashamed of (it's something she can't change, and you may not believe it, but I wouldn't want that anyway). It's always going to be a part of her. I want her to be proud of it.
