good and not so good.

For some things it's good to be home. We all really missed these two little people.

But that's probably the only reason. I found out Leighton's costume I ordered from Etsy, isn't coming. I still really want her to be an owl, so I'm stuck making her one. Oh and I have a bunch of other things that have to get done this weekend too. I wish I didn't have so many responsibilities sometimes, and I want to make other things more of a priority, but I never seem to find time. I always think if I can just get through this week, then I can do this and this like I want. Then the next week comes and it's just as busy.

About This Blog-

This blog is mostly about Leighton, and how she has changed our family. We were blessed with our little Leighton in 2011. We didn't know she had a little something extra before her birth. She was born with an extra 21st chromosome. We didn't know it at the time, but she was going to change our lives as most babies do, for the better. This is just a day to day of what life is like having a daughter, or sibling with Down syndrome. It's truthfully in essence the same, if not better as our life before we had her. We do the same things, but some how she makes us better, and happier people. She has become the center of our family. We heard about a boy in college who also had Trisomy 21 wearing a shirt that said High on Chromosomes, and I decided that's what I want Leighton to feel. So I named her blog after that shirt. I want her to feel an extra chromosome is nothing to be ashamed of (it's something she can't change, and you may not believe it, but I wouldn't want that anyway). It's always going to be a part of her. I want her to be proud of it.
